United Around Jesus and His Mission

For the Nations brings together followers of Jesus from many churches, traditions, generations, professions, and backgrounds. We may not agree on every secondary issue, but we are united by the good news of Jesus Christ and His call to make disciples of all nations.

We believe unity does not require uniformity. In essential beliefs, we pursue unity. In matters where faithful Christians may differ, we extend grace. In everything, we seek to demonstrate the love of Christ.

What We Believe…

The Triune God

We believe in one God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is holy, loving, sovereign, and worthy of our complete worship and obedience.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and our trustworthy authority for faith, doctrine, and life. Through Scripture, God reveals His character, His purposes, and His redemptive plan for the world.

Jesus Christ and the Gospel

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He became fully human while remaining fully divine, lived without sin, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and reigns as Lord.

The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus are the center of our faith and the good news we are called to proclaim.

Humanity and Salvation

We believe every person is created in the image of God and possesses God-given dignity and value. Sin has separated humanity from God, and no one can restore that relationship through personal effort.

Salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Through Christ, we are forgiven, reconciled to God, and given new life.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit lives within every follower of Jesus. He transforms us, produces spiritual fruit in us, gives spiritual gifts, and empowers us to live faithfully and participate in God’s mission.

The Church

We believe the Church is the global body of Christ, composed of all who belong to Jesus. Every local church has an essential role in worship, discipleship, community, service, and the spread of the gospel.

For the Nations exists to serve and strengthen the Church—not to replace it. We want to see churches, ministries, mission organizations, and individual believers working together for the glory of God.

The Great Commission

We believe Jesus has commissioned His Church to make disciples among every people and nation. God’s desire is to receive worship from every tribe, language, people, and nation, and He invites His people to participate in bringing the good news of Jesus to the world.

We give special attention to people and places where access to the gospel remains limited. We long to see the Church equipped, workers sent, and the name of Jesus made known where He is not yet known.

Every Believer Has a Part to Play

We believe global mission is not reserved for pastors, missionaries, or a special class of Christians. God has created every believer with gifts, experiences, relationships, skills, and opportunities that can be used for His Kingdom.

Some are called to go across cultures. Others serve by praying, giving, welcoming international neighbors, sending and supporting workers, using their professions overseas, or making disciples in their own communities and workplaces.

Every role matters. Every gift can be surrendered to God. Every follower of Jesus can find a meaningful place in His mission.

The Return of Christ

We believe Jesus Christ will return, evil will be defeated, and God will fully restore His creation. Those who belong to Christ will live with Him forever.

This hope motivates us to live faithfully, love courageously, and participate urgently in God’s mission.

Our Posture

We choose partnership over competition, humility over pride, and love over division. We honor the many churches, ministries, and mission organizations represented at For the Nations while keeping Jesus and His mission at the center.

Our desire is to see the body of Christ united, believers equipped, and every person invited to discover their place in God’s plan for the nations.
