David Rimestad
MISSIONARY & MOBILIZER
David and his family are a part of the church planting team who just recently brought the Gospel to the Maliyali people group of Papua New Guinea. Currently, David and his wife Emily are stateside for the next few years serving as mobilizers in the state of California.
Growing up, David didn’t know there was an unfinished task and never realized that the mission of God had anything to do with him. Aspiring to be a church planter in California, while getting His theology degree from CBU, David was struck with a simple truth - If there really is a task to be completed and this mission is His mission, then it dictates what he should and shouldn’t do with his life.
After finishing his theology degree, by God’s grace the Rimestad’s were redirected, trained through Ethnos360, sent through their local church and found the Maliyali people isolated in the deep jungles of Papua New Guinea. The Rimestad’s along with their coworkers lived among them, learned their language, created a literacy program and this last year taught them the story of redemptive history. From Genesis to Revelation, they were able to share the good news of what God has done for all peoples in all places, once and for all.
